PUBLIC HEARING

TOWN OF SMITHFIELD

 

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Smithfield will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 8:10 p.m. at the Town of Smithfield Community Center located at 5255 Pleasant Valley Road, in the Hamlet of Peterboro, to determine if the condition of the property at 5230 Swamp Rd, is dangerous or detrimental to public health, safety, and/or welfare, according to Local Law Section 3.13 or Section 136 of the New York General Municipal Law.  

A copy of the local law is available for review at the Town Clerk’s office at the Community Center during the clerk’s regular business hours

 

All interested parties are welcome.

            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Smithfield will hold a public hearing October 8, 2013 at 8:05 p.m. at the Town of Smithfield Community Center located on Pleasant Valley Road in the Hamlet of Peterboro, to consider a proposed local law entitled, “A local law authorizing a property tax levy in excess of the limit established in General Municipal Law section 3-c for the 2014 fiscal year.” This local law is intended to authorize the Town of Smithfield to exceed the 2% tax levy cap otherwise provided under New York State law for the Town’s 2014 budget and fiscal year. A complete copy of the proposed local law is available for review at the office of the Town Clerk during the Clerk’s regular business hours. All interested persons will be heard on this matter at this public hearing.
